I'm still mulling over the first 2 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. I don't know anybody IRL who's interested in this, and DD is a favorite of mine, so I hope you'll excuse me for the following short thread wherein I think out loud about how these episodes could have been better. (tl;dr: the 2 episodes should have been 3.)

Spoiler-free 1st impression of Daredevil: Born Again E1&2:
* You should watch it.
* I felt very bait-and-switched by ep1. It'll be hard to make up for that.
* More polished than many Disney+/Marvel shows. Story is clear & focused.
* More cinematic than TV, so characters feel distant from us.
* Intro is cool concept, but cheesy execution.
* DD swinging through the city looked silly. DD isn't superhuman, he's a super human.
* A little overwrought.
* Excellent performances.

Is anyone else confused by the headlines for 'CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD' ?? I see some say it was a hit and some say it was not. Whether it was enjoyable or not is not up for debate because opinions are subjective.
What ISN'T subjective is whether or not it was profitable and the numbers don't lie. SPOILER: it was not.
Though I grew up reading and loving comic books, I stopped reading mainstream comics (Marvel and DC) years ago.

Agressively average Marvel content, but it's not for lack of trying. It took four Marvel bots, um, writers to make content this meh-dle of the road. But it's Marvel so you weren't expecting much in the first place.

The critics are already shitting on 'CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD' and showing how little they even know about this franchise. I saw one critic call it a 'reboot' and they work for DEADLINE. 
Another critic said it was 'just as bad as all the other MARVEL movies recently' and cited films like 'MADAME WEB' and 'KRAVEN'

Currently rewatching the Daredevil TV series before the sequel/continuation due soon from Disney+. Have just been agog again at the one-shot corridor fight scene in episode 2. Deadpool's co-creator, Rob Liefeld, is done with Marvel. The controversial comic artist says that after more than 30 years, he's cutting ties with the publisher because of perceived slights at the New York premiere of "Deadpool & Wolverine," including not being invited to the afterparty and not being acknowledged on the red carpet by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. “Kevin Feige does not treat comic book creators well.
