Does anybody sell a dumb streaming box outside of Roku ? Like I want to be install Netflix as an app and watch it on my TV. But I otherwise dont want to login to google/amazon/apple ?
Failing that is their a #Floss solution here that would also be low maintenance and user friendly on my family.

I’ve got #CEC over #HDMI (#Anynet+ on #Samsung TV) so my #AppleTV #SiriRemote powers the ︎TV box, TV, and #Onkyo receiver adjusts receiver volume, and operates the ︎TV normally (as shown in the photo).
On occasion, the settings to do this in the ︎TV disable. It initially all powers up but then only the ︎TV can be shut off (not the TV or receiver) and no volume control. And this setting in the ︎TV menus can’t be re-enabled. Only way to fix is to pull the power for everything and plug back in.

It must be, because the "Ted Lasso" star/co-creator has just confirmed a fourth series of the hit show. He told Jason and Travis Kelce on their New Heights podcast that Ted would be coaching a women's team this time round. Producers Warner Bros. TV picked up options for Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) last year in anticipation of the renewal, while Juno Temple (Keeley) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) are in negotiations to return. The season 2 trailer for Andor has me worried because it focuses so heavily on "pew pew" action when what made season 1 the absolute best story in all of Star Wars (including the original movie) was that it was a story grounded in the relatable reality of everyday people and their lives, much more than typical action movie feats of superhumanity.
Hopefully the trailer is to trick people (the haters) into watching because the first season was underviewed.

I don’t understand WTF is going on with #StarTrek. Discovery was weird, but at least high quality and I really enjoyed it.
Section 31 was maybe the worst thing I’ve ever watched, and I can stomach some pretty terrible sci fi shows.
Meanwhile, Legacy is just sitting right there, on the table, ready to roll. Perfection PLUS nostalgia. 
Not to mention Lower Decks — animated AND live-action.
I wish #paramount would just sell the rights to #Apple. They are *killing* it with #AppleTV+
Rarely have I seen a tv series as interesting as the Silo. Some will dismiss it as "just another sci-fi series". But rather it is a breathtaking drama about human psychology and power structures in society — complete with an older guy who likes to manipulate his subjects, and an intelligent woman who sees right through him.
Important as The Handmaid's Tale, but less unbearable to watch, and still nail bitingly exciting all the way.
I highly recommend it.
