I hadn't heard about this until now. Once again glad I ditched Spotify years ago.

Anyone else looking to leave, Tidal has a similar UI, so it's easy to get used to. (It also pays the artists way more. This is all aside from that whole "not promoting misogyny and conspiracy theories" thing.)

Spotify is literally hosting an Andrew Tate podcast on “how to recruit and exploit women for pornography.”

They were hosting three of them. Two were removed because of public pressure, but one remains. He literally should have no platform for any reason.

Please boycott Spotify until they end this. And contact them to let them know that he’s a repugnant pile of shit who needs to be punched in the face.

Does anyone know of alternative web front ends (like nitter for xitter or invidious for youtube) that allows playlists from #Spotify to be played without directing people to Spotify?
We've got a list of songs we'd like to share with newsletter readers that are all available on Spotify but are otherwise spread across various services. No way we could afford rights to them ourselves, but don't really want to push plays into Spotify.

@DemocracyMattersALot Do we think #spotify gives 2 farts about a petition and change.org? Is there ANY precedent where a private company looked at petition at change.org and changed a major policy or market offering?

Companies understand 2 things: money and laws. And lately they’re not paying attention to laws. People should divest from Spotify and sign up to something else. Mention Rogan and Tate in a message to Spotify as you close your account. Nothing else will matter.
