I guess these are kind of like #MorningPages now huh, the first one with my Pilot Metropolitan #FountainPen!

Starting today with the Metropolitan and I am happy to report it wrote in the first try without any difficulties.

I wrote the text above in spanish last night just because, and I almost skipped this page because of it. However I don't want to be so obsessed with the details anymore so the random text stays.

I found out that paper made in Mexico is actually pretty quality and nicely priced, so I guess importing some fancy brand does not make a lot of sense anymore.

Thinking about it, these paragraphs kind of are the so-called "morning pages" I heard about ages ago, so that is quite the revelation now.

Now I have to commit to writing them on a daily basis I guess.

Lots of work to do now. I look forward to what is next!

Well, I got my new #FountainPen! Pilot Metropolitan!

This is a test while I turn on my computer to work on some pending tasks, I actually shook it up a bit and ink went flying through and stained my desk a bit, I quickly cleaned up with a microfiber cloth though so no biggie.

The inkflow has been a lot cleaner with this pen so far and even though the line is medium sized I find it to be just the perfect thickness for my taste.

My writing position still feels a bit weird, but I am very pleased with the pen itself, good stuff

Did a round of pen refills. No cleaning needed since I used the same inks again. These were all empty or nearly so.

The VP and Decimo I last filled in late July. The others were all filled near the end of August. I have been using all of these daily for various things.

Caved and bought a Platinum Curidas in Abyss Blue. Ticked too many boxes to pass it over (Capless, demonstrator, blue, EF, Platinum).

First impression is that it's gigantic and fiddly, but it writes well. Very over-engineered mechanism that feels like it could be fragile, but it keeps the trap door away from the nib entirely, which is nice.

That said, it's not heavy. 29g full which is about the same as a VP. But it is wider and much longer. Even longer than the A3.
