This morning in there gale force SW storm force gusts, 120kph heading in, 11C. 2022 flood re-shaped the river channel, quite amazing. Did not go far in as we liked, but were able do Bridalveil Falls detour, on return. Blowing back up

Since Jan 4 I've hiked 74.5 miles specifically in the woods/fen/moraine near the house in the AM. I've hiked in 40 deg F temps and -13 deg F temps. With so little snow this year, it's mostly been frozen ground but those bits of snow we did have made the hikes amazing. Now that it's warming up, the trails are mostly mud so I'm going to avoid the woods for a bit and probably just walk the bike paths.

This was my first view of the #ocean today while #hiking around a peninsula. Outgoing leg was on the side of the peninsula facing the mainland with an expansive marsh in between. Then we cut across the peninsula (seeing this view) and returned on the ocean side. With strong winds and dark overcast, we had the place mostly to ourselves! #CapeCod #beach #SeaScape
