Christian Meesters<p>I have been approach by an editor of <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/JOSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JOSS</span></a> (<a href="https://fediscience.org/@joss@fosstodon.org" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">fediscience.org/@joss@fosstodo</span><span class="invisible">n.org</span></a>) who told me about <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/JOSE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JOSE</span></a> (<a href="https://jose.theoj.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">jose.theoj.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> - for which I could not find a Mastodon handle).</p><p>The idea is to provide a low-hurdle academic reward to provide open access educational material -- with a particular computational emphasis.</p><p>Thing is, that you hardly get an academic “paper” if you develop teaching material.
